Fractions, Decimals and Percentages with Emile

Fractions, Decimals and Percentages with Emile is a perfect way to practise all the relevant elements of the Key Stages 1 & 2 of the UK national curriculum in a fun and engaging way. Children love the competition modes, playing against friends and against other classes, and taking care of their own virtual Emile.

1. Assess

When a pupil first logs in, they play a short assessment game that determines their level. This level is then used to provide appropriate activities, games and competitions.

2. Practise

Pupils can practise any selected topics hundreds of times. So rather than completing 10 examples on a worksheet, they can complete 100’s with immediate feedback.

3. Compete

Compete in groups, compete as a class, compete as a school or compete against themselves. Use pupils’ desire to improve measurable results as a lightning rod for learning.

4. Reward

Every pupil gets their own Virtual Emile to customise. Rewards for new achievements, participating in competitions or completing new topics provide money to buy new clothes, backgrounds, games or music.

5. Recognise

Recognise those students that know their stuff or have made significant improvements. Who’s the best in the class or in the school? Check out the leader boards!

Product Guarantee

Emile resources are all backed by a learning impact guarantee. We believe fully in the effect of our resources and are so confident we will refund schools if the product is used for 15 minutes a week for 12 weeks and there is no improvement in student performance.

Virtual Emile

Each pupil is given their very own Emile to look after. Grown from an egg, pupils need to check in regularly to feed, play, and grow together with their Emile.

As children progress, they earn coins which can be spent on buying outfits, food, backgrounds, music and games. The rewards help encourage pupils to log in and answer questions regularly.

The virtual pets help children build a sense of responsibility, and encourage them to love learning.

Gameplay & Story Mode

Not only does Emile feature over 50,000 multiple choice questions where students can compete against one another, it also features story mode.

Story Mode

Story Mode allows students to play real games that teach real maths.

See students explore bar charts through gameplay based on “Where’s Wally?”, symmetry through gameplay based on “Tetris” and place value with “Flappy Bird”.

Fracture is the world of Fractions.

The planet is themed on a dystopian future, where a planet was filled with rubbish, ruined and then abandoned.

Emile comes to Fracture to fix up the destroyed planet, using a recycling robot of his own design, and converting rubbish into gems.
